Moving Production from VideoWave to MyDVD

gcorbin

Question

I have created a video production using Videowave. The production has about 10 segments in the storyline with transitions. I am able to save this production with no problems. I would like to import this production into MyDVD in order to utilize the menus. I would like my view to be able to select a menu from the main screen and be able to view just that segment of the video. I am unclear as to how to do this. Please help me or direct me to a tutorial that may help.

Thanks

If I'm reading your post correctly, you want to put all the chapter menus on the main menu screen. The program doesn't work that way normally. The program is designed to put the main movie(s) on the main menu page and all the chapters on separate sub-menu pages. With chapters, the program will play that chapter and then continue to play to the end of the movie.

In order for the program to do what you want, you must make each of those segments into separate movies (VideoWave projects) and add each one to the main menu. With 10 segments, you will probably have 2 or 3 main menu pages. If you try to move them all to one page, you will probably have problems with navigation.

I haven't done this in awhile but I think you can use VideoWave to make your separate chapters into projects. You would (in story line view) right clcik and copy a block (chapter) and then open a new project and add paste that block in the new project. Save that project with a new descriptive name. Repeat with each chapter then add all the projects to the main menu - again you will have several menu pages. That will allow people to watch one segment and return to the menu page.

How long is each segment? Remember that you can only have about one hour of best quality video on a single sided DVD; up to 2 hours at a reduced quality. It is up to you to decide to add more movies to the DVD or to redo the project into separate movies to get the navigation you want.
