Content CD

I am new to Roxio software and don't know what the content cd is.

I downloaded it with the program and installed it but no clue as to what it does or how to use it.

Could someone please help.

Thanks,

The content part of the program holds some themes and templates and other goodies for use with MyDVD, Videowave, Photosuite etc. It has to be installed after the Program CD. If you downloaded it, you should have downloaded 2 files. If you try to install the content file before the Program file, you should also get an error telling you it can't find the program.

Thanks,

The "Content" CD when installed will include all of the various default templates that can be used with the various regular EMC programs that support them.

I've already installed it but don't know how to access it or what its supposed to be for. Is there somewhere on the site where I can get some detailed info on using it ??

Thanks

Without installing the content, MyDVD will have only 3 themes. If installed, it has 72 (not exactly sure of the number). When you use Photosuite and make a calendar from a template, that's using the content. It's not listed as a program in the menu but is listed as a separate program in the Control Panel. If it's not there, it's not installed.

"Content" is not a program you use like Videowave or myDVD. It simply adds addiftional features such as templates, transitions, etc that are used by the various programs that were installed.

Seems I'll have to work with the program for a while to get familiar with its various parts and functions.

As I said, I've never used the Roxio software before so the whole thing is new to me.

Thanks to everyone for the responses - I'll get back to you when I am more familiar with the overall package.

Thanks and Best to all :D:D

Come on back any time Neil. There are many persons that frequest this forum that will be more than happy to help with any questions or help you may need. 90% of what I know about several of the Roxio EMC programs, I have learned from this forum. This forum is probably the best users manual you could ever hope for.

Cheers

There are some very good aides for using this set of applications. Roxio has some that tend to be at a higher level but "users " have added a lot of good "how to" type information in the Tips and Tricks area of both EMC 9 and EMC 10 areas of the forums. These may give you some help until you are more familiar with the applications.
