Problem insertin home video into timeline

D H Alvin

Question

On a New HP pavillion laptop with Vista instaled

PROBLEM -- VW9 is Hanging when inserting a cut from captured home video into timeline. --- it repeatedly closes the whole production down. (or wanting to close then Hang -- or CRASH and needs to use TASK manager to close) -- (I have tried the "Roxann" help which DID NOT help at all )

HOWEVER it dosen't seem to have that problem with either photos or sample movies preloaded on vista

ALSO -- important to note is --- When I was using the same program on my old SLOWER laptop with less resources which is running on XP platform. -- The exact same home video cuts inserted from the same source RAN FINE with NO hangups -- BUT run and inserted very slowly, of course -- that is why I wanted or thought I needed a NEWER FASTER BETTER laptop ???

VideoWave9 installed on my NEW HP laptop with far in excess of resources required and is running on VISTA. --

both VW9 and Vista have been totaly updated.

Are there any patches I need or any settings that I should change ?

thanks

D

Are you running the V9.1 which is the Vista updated version?

Thank you for your reply to my questions !!

The truth is I don't know But will look into it, at this time I don't know where to look Because it is all new to me, it is not as easy as XP

Thanks

D H Alvin,

Open Creator Classic under EMC 9 Data. click the help at the top of the screen, click About Creator Classic. On the Gereral tab/window that opens, look for the EMC 'build' #. Please post that.
