Firewire input for spin doctor?

Has anyone been successful in recording in spin doctor using a firewire input device? When I try, I get a message about preparing to record and it hangs there indefinitely. Version 3.1 description indicates it is compatable with external firewire devices. My device is recognized in the sound section of system preferences (Tiger).

 

Any suggestions or input (no pun intended!) on this?

Never tried it. But one thing you should check is that your Firewire device is selected in Audio Midi Setup in the Utilities folder.
