MyDVD - Issue animating menu buttons

I'm curious if anyone has experienced with EMC9 Deluxe where you are on you main menu, and your sub-menus and/or slideshow buttons (I have both) are not animating/transitioning even though you have set them to do so?

 

I have gone as far as setting the button settings to a chapter, and set the transition to a type, lets say explosion.. then under style, you'll see "thumbnail".. I have even set that to 'use linked menu/move then have clicked 'motion thumbnail'...

 

When I go to hit preview the animation is still not working and I have no idea what the deal is.

 

Can anyone give a girl a little help?

I am not in front of my PC with EMC 9, but if you check out one of the menu in MyDVD (I forgot, maybe Project) and click that, there is a menu item that says Animate (again, I'm not sure). Give that a try.

 

Also, when you do a preview, does it look ok?

Under the DVD Menu there is an option for 'apply motion to all menus' and I have tried that but its not working.

 

Under the Project View option, I have tried right clicking on the main page but that doesn't give an option for animation or transition unfortunately.

 

Visually it gives me what I'm looking for in terms of picture sense so everything is fine there. However, the buttons I set up to animate are not doing anything despite what I have done. When I had version 7 it did everything for you for animation and had no issues there. (but this verision as you know gives you so many more choices, and for it to look more professional which is what I need as long as I can get it to work )

 

Any other ideas may be?

 

I'm not sure if this could be a factor.. but when some times when I look at the settings of the buttons I show for some reason that the system keeps changing the 'highlight' option back to like scheme 1 with a highlight when I know that I changed it to none... then go on to style it changes my setting of the button from what I chose (lets say wedding chapter) to default... I must have had to change that back now like 3 times (even after saving it previously). But that may be the source of my problem, or a different one all together, but I would rather have the animation working right now and I'm working under a deadline...

I am having this exact same issue right now! Whether I try and preview or actually burn the project to Disc the motion menus are not working. I just heard from tech support and they advise trying in My DVD, Tools --> Options --> set to 'Software'. (I know I am set to Hardware at present). I will try this tonight.

 

The other things they told me were already done previously, upgrade my video drivers and upgrade to the latest version of Direct X.
