I was very frustrated with EMC10 because I was having an issue with EMC7.5 not letting me burn productions and decided to upgrade to 10. I imported my production from 7.5 and tried editing and 10 would crash immediately. If I saved every few seconds I could finish the production and it burned, and I was extremely happy, because it was a Christmas gift to my kids of a vacation we took together. So the next time I opened 10, it wouldn't open. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it was fine, but it still crashed immediately when I was in videowave to edit captures. I was reading the forum for any insight, and saw a lot of similar issues. The one that didn't strike me in the nose, was to update my NVIDIA driver. How I discovered this was I uninstalled and then installed the complete EMC10, not the recommended typical. When I went to videowave it told me my video driver needed updating. Updating my video driver solved my crashing issue. Hope this helps someone.
