this is my first time using this software, so...

i've taken a clip of video with my camera (in portrait, now i know better), i need to know how to rotate it counter-clockwise 90 degrees. thanks.

Could this be of help ???

Start - Programs - Windows Movie Maker

Click Import Media - select the video clip you want to rotate from your files and point and click on it to highlight it - then click the import button lower right corner of screen.

When the file name appears - drag the clip to the video line at the bottom of the screen - point at file name and hold down right mouse button while you move the mouse to point at the video timeline then let go of the right button to drop the video into the timeline.

Point and RIGHT click on the clip you just added to the timeline

Click Effects

Scroll down to Rotate 90 and click to highlight it (you could also flip the video with 180 or 270)

Click the ADD button

Then click OK

The video will rotate.

Be sure to publish and save the new video with a name you can find...

I haven't checked for this option in EMC 9 yet, but will take a look.

You can also give this a try.

Also, informational discussion here.

PS: I am getting error page when I click on any attached file (png, jpg) on the last link I posted. Also, why are they shown as attachments now when they were embedded as images before in the old Board? Is this an "enhancement"?

They aren't attached files when logged in, Jess.

Hi Bruce,

Maybe I'm the only one having the problem. I'm using Mozilla Firefox.

In this thread, the images posted by jeanrosenfeld and myguggi were used to be shown as pictures, but now they are shown as downloadable files. Do you see them also as downloadable files? Or I am the only one seeing them as such?

No, I see them as images.

I did some testing, yesterday. When I was logged in, using IE6, when it didn't crash, I saw everything as images. When logged in, using Firefox, I saw everything as images. When not logged in, using either Firefox or IE6, I saw everything as downloadable links.

I incorrectly came to the conclusion that if you were logged in, you would see them as images. I see that that conclusion was wrong. Otherwise, you would be seeing the images, because even though you can't log in with your original username, you are logged in with your new name, and you can't see the images.

My new conclusion is the new software, and/or server sucks.

okay, this sounds like it might eventually work. i have the video clip saved as a quicktime file, when i go to import it into the Windows movie maker, i get an error message saying: The file C:\Documents and Settings\Heather\My Documents\My Videos\Christmas 049.mov is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported into Windows Movie Maker.

any ideas what i need to do to make this work??

thanks!

Do you have the latest version of Quicktime on your computer. That;s the first thing to check.
