Will not Play In my DVD Player for TV

Aero70Charlie

Question

Hello.

I capture and make my movie with Windows Movie Maker. I then burn and finalize as normal. However, it will not play on the home DVD Player. The Player is relatively new and I can't find anything in the directions that say it will not recognize WMM. Is there another way I can import, using WMM, and change the structure to a more generic system that is compatible with everything? I have easy CD and DVD in the red box version 9.XX and I'm using XP Media.

Thanks for any help.

Charlie

Can you explain what the steps were, and what app in the software you used for the highlighted statement.

Hi Larry,

Thanks for the reply, I click on Data Disk and then find the file in My Video's (WMM), Once I find the file, I double click on the file and this puts the file into the main box/area. I then proceed with the burn by clicking on the red button at the lower right corner. The disk begins to burn. After the burn, the disk ejects automatically. I then re-load the disk into the burner and click on the finalize link, the disk then fiializes and then ejects from the burner. I tried the disk on another player that is newer than the previous player and still no luck.

I've also tried another way by using my DVD Express. I click on add, then find the file in my DVD's. It will only let me select ISO. I then click on the create disk button. This opens another window "Burn Project" and I see my video in the encoding preview. After the preview, the burner automatically begins to burn the DVD. After this, the window announces "Burn Complete" and ejects the disk. When I play back the disk on my computer, Instead of my movie being played, I only get the "MY Menu" screen with the default music.

Does this help? Once again, thanks for the help.
