What computer do you have. Disc in the ROM (read only memory?) If you are using Video Wave, My DVD or the Assistants, go to the top menu, select tools, options and put a dot next to software. I checked the software box in the tools menu and was prompted to do a graphics test. OK you have a Compaq. Can you tell us about the make and model? I didn't count but Compaq probably has a hundred different models in desk top and lap top. And what was the result of the graphics test? Open My DVD go to the top menu and click on tools>options. Is the dot near software or hardware? Were you given a message about updating the drivers for your card/chip? Please, you are not being charged by the word so the more you can tell us about what you are doing and what error messages you are seeing, this will be a long drawn out affair with a lot of frustration on both sides. Are you making a slide show or do you just want to burn the images to a disc. Without more information, we don't even know if you have a DVD burner or just a CD burner or if it is a DVD burner, if it will burn the +R disc. That was pretty common in older laptops. I have a Compaq Presario PC/AMD Sempron Processor 3200+/CD Writer/DVD-ROM Combo/Windows XP....I am trying to make a DVD from photos in the My DVD application. It lets me add all the photos, add the music and as soon as I hit burn, it freezes up. The software circle is checked in the tools-options menu. No update was offered.
