ggrussell
Drag to Disc was removed from the suite. Probably because packet writing is now included in Vista. Nero also dropped their version, too.

You won't have the problem of discs not working on your computer, or any other computer.
lynn98109
It is possible to have both EMC 9 and 10 working on the same computer. However, Packet-Writing (Drag2Disc, Sonic's DLA, Nero's InCD, etc) was never intended for more than short-term storage (as when writing a webpage, or moving files from one computer to another while the original is safely on the originating computer). As a means of long-term archiving it is best suited for permanantly losing data - been there, done that. (And since it is designed to work to a given standard of readability rather than writablity, different programs are incompatible with each other, and often with different Versions of the same program.) If you want to KEEP the material on your Packet-Written discs, I'd suggest you copy if back to the Hard Drive and burn copies using a Sessions-based program such as Creator Classic. If you want a "great-big floppy-disc" because you want to make changes as you go, I'd suggest a Flash drive (aka Thumb / Pen / Keychain / Jump drive). They are pretty cheap these days. Nero also dropped their version, too. This has been a guru rumor long enough! Not that I use Roxio or Nero Packet Writing, I don't. To continue to say they dropped it, just isn't the truth! Applications Included The following applications are included in Nero 8 Ultra Edition: InCD 5 – Packet Writing Solution Applications Included can be seen here. cd
Beerman
cd, do you know if InCD installs in Vista by default? I'm thinking it's not even a choice in Vista any longer.

You won't have the problem of discs not working on your computer, or any other computer. Thanks for the information. And a prompt reply. I guess I will have to use classic creator. At least now I know I can get on with things. Cheers, a6gun (Alan)
