Using filters in CD Spin Doctor v4.0.2.333t

QwazyBob

Question

Since upgrading to Spin Doctor version 4.0.2.333t when I try to use the noise reduction, sound enhancer or equalizer filters, the recording becomes distorted. I've never had this problem with previous versions of Spin Doctor. Should I just revert to one of my previous versions?

I took my own advice and simply reverted back to one of my previous versions of CD Spin Doctor and have had no problems since. I'm wondering if Roxio will address this problem in future versions, but the lack of response this message has generated is probably a clue to the problem it poses to most users.

Just confirming I have the same problem. I cannot revert to the previous version because its a freshly bought (online) Toast 8 install that comes with 4.0.2.333t. :( Installed onto a new iMac (Intel) running fresh install of 10.4.11 with all updates including QT 7.4 (Pro).

First time I've tried to use this and I'm disappointed. Where can I download an earlier version of CD SDoctor?

I'll revert to Sound Studio. However it does not have the simple click/crackle filters I need for vinyl disc recording.

BTW another thread on this forum is discussing a digital distortion problem with 48k audio files in Toast. Seems like Roxio have a generic audio problem.

is there anyone from roxio listening?

I have the same problem, but just with the noise reduction and sound enhancer filters. I submitted a help ticket a few hours ago, and if I get a solution from there I'll post it here. If I don't get a response, I will call, snail mail, whatever, until someone fixes this, because I bought this ^#!& twice. I purchased CD Spin Doctor alone, not seeing any need to update Toast past 6. Then I lost it, and the CD key, and discovered there is no way to purchase Toast separately. $99. Rebate? I FOUND the original CD Key and the actual disc for Toast 6, and my rebate status is "invalid" because of "inadequate proof of purchase". Unless I can obtain that awesome video I made of myself purchasing it several years ago *sarcasm*, it appears I'm shanked a grand total of $59. Plus the filters don't work. Sweet!
