Roma
I installed progam and when attempting to run I get the option of either disc copier or classic creator window, but when selecting program never executes. Is there a fix?

Is there a fix? Read this http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=9334 and then come back on here. Did you purchase the full retail version or did it come free with a burner/new computer. Also, what Operating System do you have (xp,vista...other).

ogdens
It came with a new computer and I swapped it to a new machine. I'm running XP Home Edition. You have a OEM version of Roxio. Some OEM's are made specifically to meet the requirements of the OEM provider and MAY not work on other machines. IE7 and WMP11 wreck earlier versions of Roxio - you'll have to roll back to IE6 and WMP 9/10, then see if it works. If that does not fix it try uninstalling from the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, then use this http://tools.roxio.com/support/tools/roxizap.exe to remove anything Roxio left over , then re-install from the installation disc. Roma
I rolled everything back and was able to get the creator classic to start, but the copier never came up. I tried a re-install and then restarted machine and received the following at the blue screen: Problem seems to be caused by the following files: cdr4_xp.sys Driver_unloaded_without_cancelling_pending_operations

Roma
Try this http://www.roxio.com/enu/support/mserr/cdr4_7.html Tried the cdr4 update and still no luck. I'm at wits end and it seems that I will just have to go and purchase a new cd drive since it just may be incompatible with the system.
lynn98109
I have a Nero OEM Version on one of my computers that will only recognize the drive it came with - the store that I bought the computer and the combo drive from did whatever was needed to have it recognize both the original CD burner and the combo drive. What you might need is a full Version - you can try eBay, I haven't checked for a while. But it's old enough it should be cheap. Lynn

You might also check with the OEM provider to see if they can help you, it's their oem software.

Lynn The store did nothing extra to "recognize both the original CD burner and the combo drive". Nero OEM software works as long as the drive the software came with is connected, and will recognize other drives connected. Remove the drive the software came with and you'll get a warning Nero is for xbrand drive only. cd
