Runtime Error R6029 or nothing happens at all.....

Question

If I attempt to start EMC 9 Home from the start menu or the desktop shortcut, absolutley nothing happens.

 

If I try to start CinePlayer I get the following runtime error:

 

R6029 - This application cannot run using the active version of the Microsoft .NET Runtime - Contact the application's support team.

 

I reinstalled it and get the same thing.

 

I've never run this successfully since I bought it and can't get ANY response from Roxio. I've also searched this forum and can't find anything on an R6029 errors in this forum.
