banders100
Tried rebooting system after deleting menu cache. Now dvdit "pro" hd hangs while opening project. Great. Back to encore?
shueardm
System RAM probably to blame? Footnote: The minimum specs on this software (as well as most HD authoring software) should include ECC RAM. This is my wholehearted honest opinion. Can you please list your system specs. shueardm
With respect if my system does not give the errors then it must be your system. RAM is the number one problem.
banders100
With respect if my system does not give the errors then it must be your system. RAM is the number one problem. Wrong! Turns out the project didn't like the video I used for motion menu. I've used it a hundred times before, but for some reason, this time, when I changed the motion menu to a static jpg background, the problem was resolved and the project is finally completed. I don't know why it worked every other time and not now, but at least it's finished. NOTE: I imported same assets in Encore and was able to complete disc with no problems. Go figure. I think we need a serious update on DVDit Pro HD
shueardm
rubbish, I've used a few other HD authoring software now and none of them need ECC RAM and they all work fine without the errors and problems Roxio seems to be plagued with No need to get touchy Maff, it's just my opinion. ECC RAM is more reliable, no one will doubt that. High Definition Video Authoring is not a childs play time game (even though pricing may be). My oopinion is that such things need serious workstations to avoid problems. Mark
