Video_ts Folder? What do I do?

I have a video_ts dvd folder on my computer. Can someone explain to me how I can burn this folder onto a DVD using Roxio Media Creator 9? I have looked everywhere in the instructions and tutorials and cannot find the answer for the life of me. Thank you for any help.

Tony, open up Disc Copier from either the Start/Programs/Easy Media Creator 9/Copy menu or from the Home menu under 'Applications'. On the left side under 'Source', use the drop down to go to 'Browse for Disc Image/Video Folder' and the Media Selector will pop up allowing you to browse to where your folder is. Select it and on the right side, select the drive you want to burn to (if you have more than 1) and click burn.

I guess I need to upgrade to the newest version or something because there is no option on the left side that says "source" or anything that says "browse for disc image/video folder." The only time that I can select my own file is when I select "Burn Image" from the copy application. This is how I burn .ISO files. Will this work for video_ts folders as well?

What version of the software do you have? What si the software called? Did it come preinstalled with the PC system or did it come with a burner?

I have Roxio Creator DE version 9.0.116 I guess this is the same as Media Creator 9 according to Roxio.com. This came preinstalled with my system.

You have an OEM version, and not the full retail version. It has reduced features.

You can try a few free programs such as Imgburn and BurnOn CD/DVD as well as a few others you can google for.

With Imgburn (great free program) I think you'll have to create an image first and then burn to disc as it doesn't burn folders directly. Others here that are use this program more may be able to give you more advice on that program as well as other suggestions for free video folder burning.

As Beerman said, ImgBurn is a great free program.

 

In my last video project, I learned that you can directly burn a dvd-video folder set to disc using ImgBurn. On the menu bar, select Mode->Build. On the menu bar again, select Output->Device. Then in the source pane, click the folder icon and navigate and select the dvd-folder set (the VIDEO_TS folder).
