Question

when I bought this new pc the softwear for Roxio 9xe was already installed I never got a disc either)but that would make much difference as I cannot play anything now

I tell you I am ready to through this pc out the window

I have searched everywhere on the Roxio site for a solution to my problem

it is really the drag to disc part I have on the little icon in the corner the drag to disc Icon which is sayng no recorder,I had this happen to me once before just after I bought it and had to take my computer right back to factory condition which I certainly do not want to do again I shall loose everything on my pc.

when I click on the icon I am getting recorder is busy I cant use any Cd roms or games or anything

I have tried to repair from add.remove programmes Is there anything I can do please Im almost in tears

I had this happen to me before I got roxio 10. Now I don't know if I did right or not but I got it back, by , Turning off the computer Then switching off the main computer switch at the back, and holding in the start button for 60 seconds. I was told by compaq that this resets your drives. It is worth a try anyway and it did work for me.

Hi Margaret955, Sorry that did not work. but don't give up, my fault could not have been as bad. I have tried to get intouch with Roxio and I know what you mean by trying to Email them. I am a newbee to this but if I come across anything I will let you know. Could it be that roxio on a new PC is only a trial version and part of it is not there.
