Retrieving Spanned Data Discs on Mac

Recently my XP computer died; now I only have a Mac OS X machine.

Is there a way to retrieve spanned data discs created by Creator 6 on a Mac, or does it have to be on a Windows machine? I.e. Does Roxio Retrieve works on Macs?

If not, is there an alternative way to retrieve this data? It was all mp3s, probably all <10 MB. Does that mean no files were spanned across discs, so I can copy and paste contents directly?

I wasn't anticipating this problem, obviously, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I should have added more information:

I used Easy CD & DVD Creator 6.1 Basic, DVD Edition. I no longer have access to it, as I only have a Mac machine.

I'm not sure that edition adds Roxio Retrieve to spanned DVDs. If not, how can I get it to restore data?

My files were located in directory structures by genre/album, if that complicates things.

How can I check to see if I have a split file on any given DVD?

Sorry to be so persistent. Again, any help is appreciated.

I only know Macs and rarely have had to read data discs burned by PCs. However, my sense is that your data DVDs should mount in the Finder as long as you weren't using a packet-writing method (where the disc is used to add and erase files similar to a hard drive). Once the disc is mounted you should be able to browse through its folders to copy whatever you want to the Mac. You won't be able to use the Retrieve app with your Mac.

The problem is when there is a file split across two discs. In that case I'd find a friend with a PC to join the files. If you have an Intel Mac you also could install Fusion, load your Windows XP system and essentially run your Mac as if it were a PC. That makes sense to me now that you have a licensed copy of XP not being used on any other computer.
