DVDNOVICE
I just purchased TOAST 8 and I am finding it will not do what my old PC could do using DVD shrink. I'm just trying to make a backup of some favorite DVDs I have. I used Mack the Ripper to produce decrypted VIDEO_TS folder but when i try to drag & drop or select by browsing All I get is: The contents of this VIDEO_TS folder cannot be compressed What am i doing wrong? gesplus
What version of MTR? Search the MacTheRipper forum using " folder cannot be compressed" there are quite a few suggestions. It's probably not a Toast problem.
tsantee
Make sure you did a full disc extraction with MTR. If anything is missing from the original VIDEO_TS folder it won't work with Toast. Also, there are times when the audio takes up so much space on a disc that the video cannot be compressed enough to fit. This happens sometimes when the audio is PCM rather than Dolby Digital.
