Slide Show with sound

I have updated my 9800XT Radeon card, down loaded the Software updates fort both Easy Media Creator 10 and My DVD. Burn project starts just fine and contineues to 80% then freezes. The program rtuns on a Dell Dimension 8300 with Pentiun 4 - Operatying System XP.

HELP I do not want to discard the slide show. The Progman befor burn states there is enought disc space.

 

Was tried to call Roxio for help anbd they said at a cost $ is also frustrating since this has been a problem I bought the software. Does anyone have the phone number for free support?

Sorry Ed, no free support but you can try live chat during normal working hours or you can send them a help request.

 

There are a lot of things to try. First, did you use Video Wave to do the slide show or one of the Slide Show Assistants . If you used the Assistant, did you use the 3 step one or the one in My DVD 2 step. There is a mojor difference in trouble shooting your slide show. Essentially in Video Wave and in the three step Assistant, you can; in MyDVD 2 step, you can't.

 

If you used the two step slide show assistant, try a couple of things.

1) Uncheck the normalize audio (project settings),

2) switch to software encoding by going to the top menu in My DVD and selecting tools, options and then put a dot near software. This will work but not all transitions will be available to you.

3) Burn the project to an ISO file and then copy that to a disc. (Separating the encoding from the burning.) Read the My DVD part of this . Disc copier is not copy and convert.
