Importing Video with Dazzle

I installed Creator 10 on my Dell computer; I have Windows XP Professional, AMD Athlon 64 Processor, 3800+, 2.40 GHz, 992 MB of RAM.

 

I choose the Dazzle DVC 100 as the capture device. I can see my video playing there and click the "capture now" button. It begins recording but the video freezes after only a few seconds. When I click stop capture I see "Roxio Media Import (not responding)".

 

I also don't see in the manual what the capture setting should be set as- DV, DVD-HQ/SP/LP, or VCD.

 

Is this a windows issue? We had this same problem with Creator 9.

I've got the 100 running in both XP and Vista with no problem.

Did you use the driver disc that came with V10?

Sounds like maybe a problem with the driver installation or Roxio installation.

As far as what to capture at the best bet would be to use DV-AVI or DVD-HQ.That will give you the best quality capture.
