Videowave

dawnmomoffour

Question

I made a slideshow with music for my grandmother's funeral. I saved a copy even though it wasn't quite done. I had to do a few tweaks yet. ANyways...When I open it now..it is blank! I don't understand. Something is wrong with videowave..with roxy all around I think. I can't even close videowave when I open it..I have to do an end program. I have to get that back! I wonder...if I find someone who also has videowave...can I send just the .dmsm file and have them burn it? Until I figure out what it going wrong with mine?

dawnmomoffour,

the Production 1.dmsm and the Production 1.dat, are just a list of instructions, pointers of the project your making in videowave. You haven't made anything yet!

cd

Actually yes I did make it. I even copied it and put it up. I just can't remember where. I played it on the television for my family. We all had a good cry and even laughed at a few of the pics of ourselves.

I don't believe I have moved anything. I just got it back in fact. It was in the shop for a new video card. I went on almost as soon as I got it back to make another copy and I can't get it to open.

Roxio won't even shut down ...I have to do an end task. Something is wrong with the program :(

A post giving a link on uninstalling WMP 11

Grrrr. I uninstalled it..still NOTHING.

The rest of roxio 8 works..but videowave will not. I can't open or start any production...I can't close the program. I can't do anything. I can open/use/close any other part of the roxio 8 suite. How do I get support for this problem? I spent a lot of money on this.

Sometimes, when you roll back from either IE7 or WMP 11, you have to do a Repair of the Roxio software, via Add/Remove Programs, or you have to uninstall the Roxio program and reinstall it.

Sending the .dmsm file won't help. You need to send the content too.

Did you move the photos or video clips that you used to create the production? If so, you have to put them back where they were.

Did you let Internet Explorer 7 and/or Windows Media Player 11 to infiltrate your computer? If so, you have to roll back to the previous versions. Both of them break EMC 7, 7.5, and 8.
