My DVD9 Won't Complete Disc

bxcrwlly

Question

Running MYDVD9. I burn a DVD all the way through. At the end I receive an error advising that the program can't complete the burning because of errors. Roxio knowledge base says my DVD drivers are out of date. HP advises I'm running the current drivers. My drive is a tsst corp cd/dvdw ts-L532M running on an HP Pavilion ZD8000. I've tried numerous different video files with the same result.

Any ideas?

bxcrwlly, i am having exactly the same problem as u. Luckily u seem to have found the required video driver that solved your problem.

Would you be so kind to send me the link where I can find this driver.

Best regards

Unless you have exactly the same hardware and setup as bxcrwilly, you don not have the same problem and the driver link will do you no good.

It would be much better if you started your own thread and listed your system specs, especially video card as well as the problem you are having.

Thanks Beerman....After my post, I found my video driver was out of date. Updated the video driver and that problem solved; however, I'll keep your advice in my tips section. Also noted that burning more than 1 hour worth of video takes up to 2 hours...then I get another error at end(after all that time) advising not enough space to close disk. I have settings on "Fit to Disk" Guess I should post in another topic...

Burn to the ISO file at best quality. When you copy the ISO file to a disc, the program will automatically fit it to a disc at the best quality possible.

If burning to a disc is taking 2 hours, then the project is being re-encoded. With the ISO file the encoding is done first. When you then copy to the disc, it will not take long.

The error you are getting is symtomatic of trying to put more than two hours of video on a single sided disc. Did you accidentally set the size for a CD disc?

Try burning to an image file instead of direct to disc then use Disc Copier to burn that image file to a dvd.
