Norton System Works And Roxio Creator Suite 10

Question

It seems that the problem with Suite 10 stems form Norton's Windoctor or One Button Clean up.

It alters roxio registry.

Why hasnt this been fixed yet?

Look on Symantec's website. ;)

Or, read the lengthy thread, on these forums, for the easy fix. Here is a short, spinoff thread:

You're welcome. Since I set up Norton, to ignore the Roxio entry, I have had no problems. I hope that it works for you.

BTW, it isn't just Symantec's Windoctor that knocks out EMC10; it also happens with McAfee, JV16 and most other registry cleaners.

Norton is what the OP had issues with.

Yes, there are, as mentioned in the lengthy thread mentioned. No need to start another lengthy one, is there?

You've effectively just doubled the length of this one. :)

Hope your weekend is going well.

Thanks for the help/link, found the problem in One Button Checkup and now it will ignore the Registry entry. I have used Roxio for years and this is the biggest pain in the b___ that I've experienced with their software. It would seem that they could fix the problem, but I really appreciate the help from the forum. All I got from Roxio was a clean install, which I did 3 times and it kept failing. NOW, I know why. Best, Bob

You are welcome. You shouldn't have to worry about it, now.
