Easy Media Creator 8 Install Problems

david_christian

Question

I downloaded the application from the web after purchasing it. When trying to install, it tells me that Easy Media Creator 8 needs to be install first before it can install. That is what I bought. I previously had Record 7.0 on my system, but I took it off.

I also cannot download the pdf file for my rebate, it says its done but no file/data?

My System:

MS-XP Tablet PC Edition 2005

Version 2002

Service Pack 2

Toshiba-TECRA M4

Intel Pentium- 2GHz

1 GB of Ram

Office Professional, MS-Project Prof.,

MS-VISO Prof.

You need to check the email you were sent regarding downloading the product and download the other file. There are actually two files that you need to download. One is the program install download file (which needs to be installed first), the other is the content install file. It sounds like you only downloaded the content install file.

As to the pdf file, try it again. It sounds like you may have only downloaded the link to it, not the actual pdf?

Larry,

Thanks for the information. Their email is sort of cryptic. It does not tell you that you need to down load two separate files. The names are so similiar that I though it was the same file. It talks about one beingthe normal download while the other being a managed download that can be stop/started.

As for the pdf link. I am very familiar with url and pdf files. I even tried cut/paste into Explorer. It opens Acrobat and it tells me it is done. No file, I hit the refresh a couple of times and it tells me their is a problem with the pdf file.

It sure would be nice to have a 800 number to call the company with. This is one of the downfalls with big companies. Sometimes being able to talk to someone, can solve problems easily. Their Roxanne was worthless for my initial problem that you answers in a few seconds.

Thanks Again!!!

DC
