Encoding Quicktime Movie To Mpeg 2

I am having severe problems encoding a Final Cut Pro Sequence to Mpeg 2 using Compressor 3.
If Compressor has problems with your file, then Toast might trip over the same hurdle. But you could try.

Does Toast 8 have the capability to encode a Quick Time self contained movie to Mpeg 2 for use in DVD Studio Pro?
AFAIK, only if you encode to DVD-Video; Save As Disc Image; then extract the streams from the VIDEO_TS folder (with a 3rd party tool, such as MPEG Streamclip).
