Easy Media Creator 7

woodtogo

Question

Since I cannot find a suitable forum to post I will try this version and hope for the help I need. I installed Easy media creator 7 basic edition which came with my cd burner, but when I try to use the software it changes my screen resolution to 1024 x 768. Now I cannot see the writing or icons on my screen. Seems I need a magnifying glass to make out the print. Is there a way I can use this software with my resolution of 800 x 600? Thanks

The manual for EMC7 says under Minimum Requirements (page 5) that you need Display Settings 1024 x 768 with a 16-bit color graphics card.

I guess you need to believe the warning box telling you the program won't work with lower resolution. :(

Brendon,

Thank-You for the help. I guess I will try Nero. I am sure it will work with the lower resolution.

I guess I will never understand the whys of these things, considering I just bought a very good video board to put in my new fast 3 gig pc. I guess if I get a large monitor like 20" or so I would be in business. I guess. But I will try Nero for now. Thanks again

Please read the minimum requirements for resolution before you buy any software.

You might want to consider investing in a larger monitor because most newer programs are requiring higher screen resolution and you've got a brand new pc.

I had the opposite - I bought a LCD 15 in Wide Screen Monitor, and it runs on 1280 by 720 Resolution, and Creator Classic will not open, it says minimum required res 1024 x 768........but this new monitor only has 800x600 or 1280x720, which is what I am using.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

thanx....

1280 by 720 Resolution minimum required res 1024 x 768..

If you run Xp right click the desktop, click properties, click settings. Do you see screen resolution? Can you move the slider bar to the right, the resolution will increase?

1024 x768 your better at 1280 but below at 720. What brand and where did you buy this monitor? I have never heard of or seen a monitor with only two settings before.
