sunorsnow
I have a large MyDVD project with several slideshows. I'd like for it to keep playing each slideshow without stopping at the menu after each one. Is there s way to do this with keeping the menus?? Terri M
Burned the DVD and it plays like I expected. So I guess that's solved it. Thank you!

sunorsnow
I just watched the burned DVD today and the "continuous play" option didn't work entirely. I have several menus "month one," "month two," etc. When I actually click on "month one" it automatically goes to "month two," but then month two won't automatically go to month three if I don't click on it in the menu. So basically now it automatically plays two movies in a row, but then goes back to the menu. I have each menu/movie set to go to the next one, but again, it only works if I click on it in the menu. malatekid
I don't have access to version 9 but tried this on version 10. I experienced the same problem. After the 2nd title, it went back to the menu instead of playing the next title I indicated in the "After Playing " of the 2nd title. Sounds like a program bug to me. sunorsnow
What a bummer! Seems like there are a lot of program bugs in Roxio....it has the potential to be an amazing program, they just need some programmers to work out these kinks. malatekid
Ok, give this a try. In MyDVD menu, select File=>Project Settings. Check the radio button beside the Play movie and all remaining movies in the project. Special thanks to Merv for a private discussion that led to this recommendation. malatekid
So you want to play each title one after another without going back to the menu? Bring in all titles (slideshows) as separate movies. Right click the first title, select "Show Settings, then in "After Playing" box, select the next title that you want to be played immediately after the current title. Do these steps in the remaining titles. Don't do this on the last title though if you want it to go back to menu after playing the last title. sunorsnow
That didn't work either - it just made different movies play out of order. Thanks anyway!
sunorsnow
Thank you thank you thank you!! That's exactly what I needed! This is for my daughter's first birthday, and since I'm a perfectionist, I had to get it just right!
malatekid
Does it still go back to the menu after playing the second title? Can you determine the pattern as to the sequence of titles it play (e.g., alphabetical name of the title, by the order the titles were brought in MyDVD, etc)? The other method that Merv suggested was to right click the title, select Goto Linked Movie/Menu. On top of the Preview Editor is an icon (More Settings). Click this and select Play Next Movie. Do this for every title. Does this accomplish what you want?
malatekid
You're welcome. My suggestion above assumes that each video clip (slideshow) is brought in as separate movie. The other way of accomplishing your goal is to bring in all video clips (slideshows) in MyDVD as one movie. In that case, there is only one title which consists of all slideshows. sunorsnow
No, I had all the slideshows made as separate movies. I did the whole thing, took 4 hours to burn, then I realized it was going to the menu after each slideshow. Very frustrating! I'm so glad you provided me with this solution! I had to re-do things and re-burn the DVD, but it's definitely worth it. I like having the menus and separate movies, rather than having one long slideshow. malatekid
Try on a small number of slideshows first, maybe 2 to 3 slideshows for a test run.
sunorsnow
Since you seem to almost be an expert on this program, maybe I could ask you something else? How do I change the menu so that it allows more than just 4 movies? I know I've had one menu with 9 movies before, but I can't figure out how I did it. malatekid
In MyDVD, just add the movies. The application (MyDVD) will automatically add menu page as needed to accomodate those movies.
Terri M
I had the same problem, in Media Creator 10. The above suggestion to set "Play movie and all remaining movies in the project" worked on my little test (with 3 movies, 9 images, no music) but at first didn't work on my big project, as the second movie got skipped. I went back and changed the setting for "After Playing" for all the movies to "Use Title Action" and now everything looks good -- at least in the preview. I'm going to go ahead and burn it and see what happens. (I don't know what Use Title Action means, and it could very well have nothing to do with the issue.) Thanks for the help. (And btw I figured out why I didn't find this thread when I was looking for the problem - I just looked in the Easy Media Creator 10 section)
malatekid
I always wonder what Title Action refer to. My guess, based on your description, is that it refers to the option selected in Project Settings. Thanks for posting back and let us know the final result.
