JohanB
I installed EMC10 a couple of days ago. It takes a couple of minutes to start any module of the program. The CPU runs at 99% no matter which EMC10-module I start, i.e. any EMC-module process takes 99% Just some simple transitions and to burn to DVD of a video clip of approx 11 mins took me almost 1,5 hrs... Is this really the way it should work? I´m running a Windows XP Professional SP2, ASUS laptop Intel Pentium Mobile 2GHz 2Gb RAM Plenty of diskspace Kaspersky Antivirus and firewall I disconneced Internet and shutdown Kaspersky even before I started, but it did not help. Can anybody help me out?

xtrail
If it is any consellation I use Pinnacle Studio 10 to edit video and also picked up problems with rendering etc. I was also referred back to my graphics card etc etc to resolve the issue and yes it did resolve the issue. I tend to agree that EMC v10 is a bit of a dissapointment to me as I waited for a long time to decide on buying and it is driving me crazy with glitches etc. since I installed it. It takes up a tremendous amount of the CPU and is as slow as you can get it. I run a 3.0 Gig desktop with 3 Gig RAM and Win XP Pro. The issue here is paying top dollar for supposedly top class software and yet it is not up to scratch or what they are giving it out to be ! Maybe I should go back to Nero at least it works without a glitch no matter what and it is a #$^@ site faster !
