Audio & Video Sinc Problems

I'm new to EMC8. I got it so I could edit commercials out of my media center recorded programs. The problem is after I edit them the audio is out of sinc. The more I edit the more out of sinc it becomes. And sometimeswhen I convert them from the media center formatt to EMC8 they get so much static on them you can't even here the audio, the original sounds good and is in sinc. Makes me wonder if I just threw away good money. I'm sure someone has had the same problems and got it working properly. Thanks for your time

I'm having this same problem. I'm not sure if I have the nVidia audio chipset...how do I find that out? I tried to decrease the Hardware Performance, and that didn't help. I'm running an HP desktop that is only a year old.

For the audio problem - doyou have a motherboard with the nVidia audio chipset? There was a known issue and the latest nVidia drivers will fix that. You can also go into Control Panel. Select Sounds & Audio. Click the Speaker Advanced settings button. In that box, click the Perfomance TAB and decrease the Hardware Perfomance a notch or two. Sometimes that will help.
