Inserting Menus Into Disc Image (iso) Files

blitzsquirrel

Question

Hey there, friends. I'm working on a project and have run into a wall.

I'm trying to burn some video (avi) segments to DVD. When I try to simply insert them into DVD Builder as new titles, they turn out to be rather large. I have heard this has to do with the DivX codec.

So, I tried the DivX-to-DVD tool, and successfully created some disc image folders. Each of these has several "Movies" (Titles, I presume) and measure between 3.5 and 4.4 Gigs.

I'd like to insert a simple menu to access the specific titles, rather than having to fast forward through Title 1 to view Title 2, etc.

Is there a way to do this?

The problem is going to be Time, file size is not meaningful to authoring software…

Something you might try is to go ahead and create the project in Builder and Burn to File.

This will create an ISO file up to 8gb, roughly twice what a disc can hold.

Then use Disc Copier to burn that file to disc. It will offer to re-render it to fit the disc.

Use an RW to experiment with.
