Everio Compatible With Emc9?

trueginger

Question

Help! Have been using EMC 9 to make DVD's of kids football matches etc and found it brilliant (after lots of initial teething problems!). Husband has bought me a JVC Everio HDD camcorder and I can't import the video clips into roxio. It comes with its own mini editing suite but it's very basic. If I want to do titles etc I have to upgrade the editing suite. Is there a way of getting the info into the roxio program or should I just get a new editing system? I know EMC9 really well. Is there another "people friendly" program anyone can recommend??

What video file format does this JVC Everio HDD camcorder make? Is it a supported EMC 9 video file format?

cd

They seem to be MPeg files. Have no idea if they are supported or not! Just been looking at EMC 10 details and it says that it supports HDD. Should I upgrade? Is it a good product?

trueginger,

if I was going to buy a new "JVC Everio HDD camcorder". I would want to know all the facts about file format, capture to PC, editing software, and does all this work with any software, or only with what came with the camera? Just me I guess! :)

Did it come with a instruction manual?

Go into the search (top right) and type in Everio....you will get lots of hits.

Thanks. Found a reply about loading to the local hard drive and renaming to .mpeg. All sounds like it will work but I need idiot proof step by step instructions! If anyone has the time and patience to type me through it I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!!
