Network Drives

Steve R

Question

I am attempting to create a slideshow project and the process is terribly slow when selecting pictures from a network drive folder that I am acessing wirelessly (wireless N). Eventually the program crashes and Windows Vista shuts the program down. I have given up at this point. Is this to be expected? Would it improve if I copied the pictures to a local folder?

Using Dell provided Creator Premier (9.0).

Thanks!

You wont' know until you try but certainly it should be faster. I've done only 1 small project using files from a networked drive (wireless G) and had no problems. But, until you copy the files over to the local drive and try it, you won't know. But in answer to your question, it should work.
