Drag To Disc Remains

vk1drums

Question

Needed to completely uninstall Roxio 10 from my hd. What is leftover is the drag to disc remains, and every entry regarding Roxio and Sonic are removed through the registry, although under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, there are quite a few entries that are still listed but cannot delete these entries manually. Is there a recent cleanup tool that would help delete the remaining entries in this matter?

Thank You,

vk1drums

Drag to Disc is not a part of EMC 10, so you had/have another version of some Roxio software on your computer. If it shows in Add/Remove Programs, uninstall it.

The entries in the HKCR hive only list extensions of files recognized by Roxio programs. They don't need to be removed even though you don't have any Roxio programs left. If some other application wants to use those file extensions it will amend the entries in HKCR, and the fact they were previously used by a Roxio program will not cause problems.

I don't know of any cleanup tool to delete Roxio entries in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.

Previously installed versions 6-10. Version 9 seems to be the problem that still retains Drag-to-Disc as being a legitimate program.
