Adding Avi Files

I have tried looking through the forums and other places to find a answer to my issue.

 

I installed the program roxio 10 movie maker and it worked well and fine. I had to stop mid-way on a project.

I went back today, and was finishing the project when i could not add any of my AVI files at all

 

I got a msg saying " one or more of the files you are trying to add cannot be edited and have not been added"

 

I could not even add a production i just saved as well..

 

All my avi files play in all my players and i have the latest codecs. I re-installed the program and same thing happened.

 

This is using videowave.

 

any ideas or suggestions?

My DVD 10 or Easy Media Creator 10? Typically Movie Maker is the built in Windows program so your post is somewhat confusing.
