Burning Dvds

Question

I converted an avi. file to a video_ts file using Winavi so that I could create a DVD. I went through all the steps on MyDVD Express without problem: I added all the files, selected the movie I wanted to burn, then selected create disc which brought me to the "Burn Project" screen. From there I checked off the burn to disc option and then clicked burn. Here's where my problem starts, there's no progression overall or in the encoding of the movie which is the first step. I even let it sit for an hour once thinking maybe it was just taking a long time. Does anyone know any solutions? P.S. It's not a problem with the burner because I've burned Data Disc as well as Audio Disc already

Sounds like you are saying that the encoding progress sits at 0%. That's usually an indication of a video driver problem. Try updating the drivers for your video card/chip and see if that helps.

If you already have the Video_TS folder why are you using myDVD Express to re-encode.? Can't you use WinAvi to burn the Video_TS folder to a DVD?

Another way is to forget about WinAvi and just import the avi files into myDVD (better program to use then myDVD Express). Though as Larry has posted, you may be having a video driver problem.
