iba64
I just installed the patch to EMC 8 and transferred a TiVO recording to a DVD. After the transfer completion and burn I tried to play the disc using Cine Player but got an error message, "The DVD Volume is invalid. Don't know the cause. miranda_network
I used the Quick DVD Creation of EMC 8. I used it earlier in the day with no problem however that was before I installed the recommended update patch. The medium I'm using are DVD-R. The file formats before encoding were .tivo files. I'm thinking of uninstalling it and reinstalling it without the patch but was hoping there was a solution without doing this. That's assuming the patch was the cause. If it worked before, then just uninstall Roxio 8. Restart. then Install EMC 8 again. Let me know your results.

I tried the reinstall without the patch and used the same TiVo file that caused the initial problem. This time it burned without an issue. I did notice one other thing that may have contributed or caused the issue. I had switched the compression level from Fit to Disc to Best after which it indicated on the MyDVD Express menu that it would fit on the DVD. When I hit the burn disc button and the Burn Disc menu came up, it now indicated insufficient room on the DVD. I think that I could have started the encoding and burn process even though sufficient space wasn't present. In other words you can start the transfer process and burn without sufficient space available. Thanks for input.
