Videowave And Automotion

I just installled EMC 8.0. I have a Radeon 9800 video card with 128MB on board memory on a Dell Dimension 8300 (3.0 GHz) running Windows XP, sp2 with 1.5 GB of RAM. My question: On slide shows I try to apply automotion to individual slides and all slides, but when I preview the show, no motion is apparent. I can add the motion for each slide using the pan editor, but was hoping to have the same capabilities I had with ProShow Gold. I have searched the forums but with minimal success. I have updated all my video drivers, but still no luck. Thanks for any help you might give!

Works fine for me although I don't like the choices it uses myself. Make sure you have teh latest DirectX FEB2006. Get it here

I have the Radeon 9800 Pro card, and it works fine for me. I am using the Catalyst 5.11's. That was the last version that had the Control Panel.

I have installed all the newest DirectX (2/06)drivers as well as the ATI drivers (Catalyst 6.3). I can successfully apply all the motion effects on a per slide basis, but it is when I try to use the Auto Motion that there is no effect.

 

Also, why is it that when the software renders the project, you can't apply all the transitions, but when you use your hardware for rendering, you can?? This program seems so much less obvious and user friendly that others I have used, such as ProShow Gold. Anyone else feel that way???

Software render uses only software to render. HARDWARE render takes advantage of better graphics cards by actually off-loading the rendering to the GPU.
