Windows Vista Can't Find Labeler Program

I bought a Compaq Presario SR5030NX and it came with Windows Vista and Roxio Creator Basic 9 already installed on it. It will burn CDs and DVDs just fine but when I try to use my lightscribe feature to make a label it says the labeler program featured on Roxio 9 is not installed but when I looked at the program list it is on there. I went to the website to download an update but it takes so long to download and I have dial up it kicks me offline before the download is even half done. What can I do about this? Is there a way to get a CD for the download?

You have an OEM version from Compaq. All support should come from them, not Roxio…

 

In any case, there is no update that will work with that version.

 

As I recall there is a free program from LightScribe that should keep you going until you decide if you want to dump the junk and buy a full Retail package.
