Emc 10 Installation Stagnation!

Question

Bought EMC 10 DVD copy, arrived and tried to install. When I bought it the receipt, invoice, back of DVD jewel case had no serial number. In fact on the back of the DVD jewel case it says "No Serial Key Required". But when I try to install, it asks what lanaguage and then user name, company, and SERIAL NUMBER CODE. That ends the install. Of course the url they tell you to go to, sends you into a vicious circle of "you LOST your serial code" "It will be on your purchase order", "It will be on the jewel case"....I never had one to lose!!! Does anyone have experience in installing and not have a serial key code? I have tried support email and of course NO response. Would really like to use it this weekend! Thank you for any help. Definately dissapointed in the sales and support to get going!

Where did you buy the software?

 

The CD key should be in the case. Contact the seller via phone if website is not working at all.

I bought it on line from Roxio! Nothing in jewel case other than the DVD.

Correction: Should be DVD key, instead of CD key. :)

 

After the online confirmation of order, did you print the online invoice and no key is given there? Did you get an email confirmation of your order? Sometimes that email includes the key.

Checked ALL those and there is NO serial number or code any where to be found! Why doesn't Sonic / Roxio respond is my question...they have the purchase order and all information....I'm very disapointed! This is my second product and the first gave me a terrible time trying to download and took weeks to resolve and I ended up also buying the CD product. So on this purchase I thought I would just get the DVD copy and not go through the hassle I did trying to download. Boy I was wrong! Oh well sorry for complaining! Have a good day.

I bought through the same route.

 

I received an email message with the subject:

 

Sonic Solutions – Order confirmation for order #XXXXXXXXXX

 

After all the billing information, there is a section that says:

Product SKU: ESD-235500

Product Name: Easy Media Creator 10 Suite - ESD UG/EM

Qty Ordered: 1

Amount: £39.12

Serial Number / CD-Key: XX-XXXXX-XXXX-XXXXX

 

Is there any possibility that your spam trap consigned this email to oblivion?

 

You can retrieve your licence number by going to the Customer Service Page. There are several ways of getting the system to disgorge your number.

 

Much as I have problems with Roxio's software, when it comes to the ability to deal with purchasing issues, they are better than most, even they use DigitalRiver.
