Multple Labels On Same Sheet

Mike Young

Question

I read the question and answer regarding printing multiple labels on a single sheet of paper. I figured out how to do that. What I can not figure is how to print different labels on the same sheet. Generally speaking I do not need more then one of the same label for my disks. I also understand that I should not put a label sheet in the printer more then one time. i.e. I should print to all the available labels at one time.

I have read, on many different brands/types of labels, that you are not supposed to run it through a printer more than once. I believe the warning is there, because on the first pass through, one of the remaining labels may curl up a little and cause it to get caught in the printer on a second pass.

I have never had it happen to me, but that is probably the warning that Mike has seen, too.

Bruce, you are right on. I am thinking that this warning may be more appropriate to the older laser printers that generated a lot of heat. I will give it a try on my new injet.

BTW, don't turn the paper around since it may not be a true mirror image. When you select to print the second label, just click the second disc area to select it and click on the first disc area to deselect that one.

Is that a limit of your printer?

Frequently, I print one label on a sheet, turn the paper around, insert it into the printer and print the second label with a different project.

What for printer is that??? Never heard of one that carries that stipulation?

I am not sure if you can print two different labels to the same sheet, but I doubt it.

I have never had a problem with running the same sheet through the printer, twice.
