Dvd In Toast 8 Sometimes Jerky - Help !

I use Final Cut Express 4 to create my MOV files.

I have a mixture of digi video from camcorders, photos & some cine film converted to AVI. All works fine in FCE4 & all play perfectly in FCE4 as does the MOV output files. When I create the DVD in Toast 8 the video & photos all play ok but the cine footage is jerky. I changed the settings in Toast to progressive scan and that solves the cine footage - all smooth but the video footage becomes jerky ! I have tried changing the settings to bottom field first then top field first but I cannot get both the cine & video footage to be smooth. It's one or the other !!

I have played the DVD in a number of players & the iMac and all show the same.

Anyone help ??

This may be either a field dominance issue or a frame rate issue. I suggest asking about this in the Final Cut Express forum at discussions.apple.com or checking out www.kenstone.net where there is excellent info and discussions about ways to resolve odd issues. I think your problem needs to be resolved in FCE before exporting for Toast.
