Fading A Movie Out

Hi there,

 

I have a movie that I want to fade out at the end not to another clip just to finish, I can apply the fade out transition but would like to set it to start at a certain point in the move and fade to the end, can someone point me in the right direction please.

 

Tried Video wave and My Dvd but cant seem to get it to do what I want.

In videowave, at the end of the movie insert a black panel. Then insert a dissolve transition between the movie and the panel. You will have to adjust the panel duration and the transition duration to get the dissolve (or fade) to start where you want. For example, if you want the fade to start 5 seconds before the end, you will need a 10 sec transition duration and a at least 6 sec panel duration
