Roxio Digitalmedia Se Error With Burning Speed

I have Roxio Digital Media SE that came with ym Sony Vaio laptop.

i used to burn 4-5 avi movies to a DVD+R and it would take me no more than 10-15mins.

I am still using the same brand of DVD but now it is taking me over 3 hrs??? it says target speed is 2.4x and that whats being achieved is only about 0.33??

Ive readt that Windows Media player 11 was having some issues conflicting with this program so it has been completly uninstalled i dont use it anyway?

can someone PLEASE help??

Never mind guys.. i discovered it was beacsue the files that were being copied off my external hard drive tht was plugged into my usb hub whihc slowed down the process 10 fold! Oh well!
