So now that Toast 9 can burn HD-DVD onto standard DVDs, can I avoid buying Final Cut Studio to accomplish this same task?
I have a Canon HV20 & both an XBox360 HD-DVD drive and Toshiba A-2. I'd like to create high definition quality discs on regular DVDs that can be played on both of these devices.
I have Leopard & iLife '08 so I am thinking that the workflow will go something like this....
(1) import HDV from my Canon HV20 into iMovie
(2) edit in iMovie
(3) export to a quicktime file (best settings?)
(4) import the quicktime files into Toast for burning to DVD.
