kkrumenaker2
i have had this program for 3 years, recently, I started getting ECDC6.msi file/path not found under the Roxio Player, DVD Builder and Audio Central. Other services for my Roxio EasyCD creator are running fine. Has anyone had similar experience and if so, how did you fix it. (Note, I recently installed and activated McAfee's firewall & Privacy Mgr in addition to its virus scan which I had been running along with normal Win XP firewalls). kkrumenaker2
Have you recently installed any other recording software? Lynn It looks like PowerDVD player may be recent. (sorry, I am not that PC literate) but I have 3 other users in the house and sometimes when they are on sites and it requires a player or something, they may load it. Kathy PowerDVD player is only a player, and not likely to have fiddled with anything that would be causing the problem. After checking with a qualified authority, I'd suggest the following: (1) uninstall V6 (2) install and run the Micro$oft Installer Cleanup Utility to remove the V6 installer fragments http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;290301 (3)reinstall V6 And please let us know how it goes. Maybe it'd be a good idea to get an inexpensive older computer for yourself, and leave that one for hte kids. It'd run on a P-2 class computer with 400mHz, altho IL'd recommend at least 500MHz. (Is there a used computer place anywhere near you?) Or, if your current computer is getting on in age, get a new one for the kids - and make them deal with any conflicts they download.
