Sonic Red Burn Dot Goes Yellow After Formatting

JACKSON

Question

Hello everyone, I have been making compilation audio CD's for about three years with this machine. I purchased EMC9 last fall, but haven't installed it because the only functionality I didn't already have was: Artist - Album Title. I recently discovered that while formating the blank disc, you can erase the disc label, and insert the artist and album for subsequent display on my player. So, I was listening to XM, heard an artist/song that I liked, and headed down to the music store. On the way back, I poped the CD into my 6 disc in dash and headed home. As usual, the music was fine, but there was no display of song title, just track number. But no problem, I would just load the music on my C-drive, insert a blank Memorex 52X CD-R, Format using Sonic, and Burn the music using Sonic RecordNow.

But, Noooo. The Red Burn Dot Goes Yellow, and the Text display in the RecordNow Window says "Please insert a blank or rewritable disc".

The Samsung CD-R/RW SW-252S in location 1, with Microsoft 7/1/2001 driver 5.1.2535.0 plays both prerecorded CD's and CD-R's, and will write on a preformatted Maxell CD-R, but will not write on a Sonic formatted Memorex CD-R.

Any Ideas??

Thanks, Jack
