How Do I Burn My Mp4's To A Playable Dvd To Watch On Tv?

marcate

Question

Hello, I've been making myself crazy trying to figure out how to put my mp4's onto DVD so we can watch them on the tv...

I tried just burning a video DVD last night with Toast 8, and it plays on my computer, but when I put it into my DVD player that is hooked up to my tv, it just said "loading" forever, and never loaded.

I just can't figure out the conversion process - hoping someone can help me!!!! (Or could it be my DVD player???? It's about 4 years old...)

Thank you!!!!

Select DVD video as the format in the Toast Video window. Add your movies. Set up the menu the way you want. Click the burn button.

If that is what you did and they don't play on your DVD Player, try with a different brand of media or use DVD-R instead of DVD+R (or vice versa). You can copy the existing DVD by using the Toast Copy window.

Thank you for the reply!!!! It actually turned out that I had done PAL encoding on the 1st disc - I did NSTC (?) on the 2nd, and it played on my DVD player.

However, it was skipping, pixellating and freezing in quite a few places. I tried it on my computer, and it plays fine. Does that mean it's a problem with my DVD player???? We took the Bourne Ultimatum out from the library last week, and missed a few sections of the movie since it would pixellate and then freeze. It played okay on my computer... I'm ready to revert back to VCR tapes. What DVD players will play discs correctly???? I know it's a bit off-topic, but I'm really frustrated and would appreciate any help.
