Incomplete Mp3 Cd's

GrimReaper

Question

Has anyone encountered this problem before? I load a bunch of mp3 files into Toast 8.03 to make a mp3 cd and it gets all the way to the end before spitting up this message (see below) just as it writes the lead out for the disk, making it unusable. I'm using Toast 8.03 and Pioneer DVR 115D. If I use Toast 7 with the exact same files/drive - perfect disk. If I use Toast 8 with same files but DVRA08 - perfect disk. Can't figure it out. Can anybody help?

Dialog text:

The drive reported an error:

Sense Key = ILLEGAL REQUEST

Sense Code: 0x72, 0x03

SESSION FIXATION ERROR - INCOMPLETE TRACK IN SESSION

Curious. It could have been defective media. An MP3 disc is basically a data disc so there's nothing special going on with Toast. The only other difference I can think of is that the write speeds supported by the 115D to that media could be different than what is supported by the A08 drive. If you have the burn speed set on Best (which to Toast means fastest supported speed) it could be that burning at a slower speed with the 115D might have worked okay on that media.
