Burning Dvd With Emc 10

Sailor Guy

Question

Does anyone know why this error happens... I checked the Knowledge Base and followed every step with the exception that my dvd vendor NEC no longer shows firmware updates for my dvd on their site. I get this message each time I go to burn a dvd and don't know how to get any help from Roxio... can anyone help?... thanks

Sailor Guy,

you haven't told us the burner ID string, firmware version, or message you get? Are we supposed to guess? :)

cd

It is a NEC DVD+RW ND-1600A with Revision 104D

I am not sure if the following are the strings you are referring to:

Px.dll 4.2.58.500

PxAPS DLL 4.2.58.500

pxdrv.dll 1.2.16.0

PxMas.dll 4.2.28.500

PxSFS.DLL 4.2.58.500

PxWave.dll 4.2.28.500

Sense 05 / ASC 30 / ASCQ 05 returns "Cannot write medium - incompatible format" in the MMC6 standard.

You perhaps should tell us what type of DVD you're trying to make [data, video, whatever]

What type of DVD [brand, + or -, speed, RW or R] you're trying to use

What application in EMC 10 you're trying to make it with [or what menu path you followed if you can't name the actual program you're running]

What video or data source you're trying to make the DVD from

The steps you took from start of process until you got the error.

Regards,

Brendon
