Compiling Videos

I have some old home movies on a DVD, and I'm trying to convert them to files that can go on the Internet. I have succeeded in taking a clip from the DVD and making it into a WMV file. But I am unable to compile several clips together into a single file. The Roxio Copy and Convert software seems as if it is compiling them, but then it saves the compiled files in a .DCPF file -- whatever that is. I can't seem to do anything with this file.

As far as I can tell, this software is supposed to compile two video files into one, but I can't figure out how to make it do it.

Can anyone help?
